Mitch is a pianist, organist, singer, conductor, choral director, teacher and composer based in Liverpool. They have been a musical director of many choirs, including St Chad's Church, Lichfield, St John Baptist, Berkswell, and then many other groups, including The Belper Singers (Belper), The Palace Singers (Lichfield) and Uttoxeter Choral Society (Uttoxeter). Mitch is currently the Choral Outreach Lead for Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, and takes choral singing out to schools, delivering a music curriculum and inspiring young people towards singing in a sacred context. In their work with choirs, Mitch has conducting large scale works, including Handel's Messiah, Vivaldi's Gloria (VW587), Pizzetti's Messa Di Requiem and Officium Defunctorum by Tomas Luis de Victoria, whilst also being able to work on smaller scale pieces, settings and concerts. Mitch has a particular affinity with the choral works of Parry, Gibbons and Victoria, but enjoys a large breadth of the repertoire, having led music from Gregorian Chant to newly commissioned works.

Mitch's infectious enthusiasm, knowledge of music and desire to get the best out of every group means they have become a well respected MD and accompanist in every are of their work.

Outside of the choral world, Mitch is an accomplished organist, having been Director of Music at two parish churches with respected local musical histories. Mitch learnt the organ under Cathy Lamb (Lichfield Cathedral) and has loved playing the King of Instruments. Visit here to listen to Mitch play some of their favourites.
